Is it legal to get married online?
YES, it is absolutely 100% legal to get married online.
How much does it cost to get married?
Our wonderful wedding service is just $69.00 and includes the online ceremony including the Officiant, and all the instructions you need to get married.
What if my spouse and I are in 2 different States or Countries?
No problem. You don’t have to be in the same location. Our ceremonies are done online and the couple can each join via the internet.
How does it work?
It is easy and can be done from your computer or smart device. First complete the form and enter your information. Schedule your date and time for the ceremony (don’t worry we provide the Officiant) Next you will apply for the Marriage License. Once the ceremony is complete we will finalize the license and you will receive the Digital Certificate. A physical copy of the Marriage Certificate will be mailed out via US postal or FedEx depending on how you need it.
How is this recognized by other countries?
It is called an Apostille stamp. The apostille stamp is a special certificate issued by the Secretary of State or the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, which grants recognition to the marriage license in another country. Getting an apostille will ensure that your marriage license is valid and official in the country of your choice.
What are the requirements?
There are 3 requirements:
1. You must be 18 years of age or older.
2. You must have a valid ID (passport or drivers license).
3. You cannot have been divorced within the past 60 days.
Note: If a divorce has been granted in the last 60 days, that applicant would need to provide their divorce decree.
Will I get an official marriage certificate?
Yes! After your ceremony, your signed marriage certificate will be submitted and processed by the state of Utah. You will receive a digital copy right away and a certified physical copy by mail shortly thereafter.
Is there a waiting period?
The marriage licenses have no waiting period, but you must have completed your ceremony within 32 days of the date it is issued.
